Hentsch Man – New at Centre CommercialOn 5 February 2013
Hentsch Man was formed in 2008 by childhood friends Alexia Hentsch and Max von Hurter.
Designer, Alexia was born in Sao Paolo but grew up in Geneva, Max was born in New York, both are now based in London. After Alexia’s spell working for Tyler Brûlé at Wallpaper magazine and Winkreative agency, she & Max finally got the opportunity to work together on their own creative project.
The Hentsch Man ethos is simple, they create classic, elegant and wearable wardrobe basics. Their products are designed to emphasise fit, without fanciful details and ensuring the clothes are flattering. All Hentsch Man collections are produced in Europe, as Alexia explains: ‘we believe in its superior quality and reliability. All our fabrics and raw materials come from Italy, Portugal and Spain. We like to think that, even in the smallest way, we are contributing to the continuation of European manufacturing heritage.’
The Spring Summer 2013 collection at Centre Commercial is typical of the brand, featuring men’s classics such as the grey marl sweatshirt, a soft denim & a Gingham shirt, plus striped crew neck T shirts. The collection is highlighted with the addition of some Hawaiian shirts in short or long sleeve options.
